Porn on the brain – Channel 4

Last night Channel 4 screened a show called Porn On The Brain, presented by Martin Daubney (ex editor of Loaded magazine).

The show ticked 13 out of 24 of the squares on Bad Sex Media Bingo, notably:

    As someone involved in the programme who has come to know Martin well, I can assure you that no one (well almost everyone) was anti-porn in anyway and there was no intention to scaremonger. I agree that it’s very frustrating how the media edits programs to create the biggest sensation and keep viewers – at whatever cost. Regrettably ‘balanced’ programs are unlikely to get the viewing figures and hence the advertisers. Television is a fading market as the internet grows in terms of money and so schedules become fiercer. I know I’m out on a limb within this community for using the ‘A’ word when it comes to porn and sex, but I do wholeheartedly agree with ‘most’ of what’s said on these forums – whichever published research is currently being favoured!
